 In a construction project, foundation is the most important stage it provides stability to the entire structure. It could include creating a slab, crawlspace or basement and reinforcement like rebars and concrete. That notwithstanding, like every activity, building and construction has some stages which are seven of them that are to be respected before, during and after the project.

Here are the stages outlined below.

# Project conception.

 Every construction project starts up with an idea and behind that idea, proper thinking and consideration is done. This is the stage where the construction team get input from experts to determine if the project will be feasible and viable before starting to draft out a plan. Coming up with an idea is one thing and translating that into reality is another. Project conception is where the project scope and goals are thoroughly analyzed from all domains to ensure the project concept is realistic.

# Planning and Designing

Once the right conception is done, the project entire the planning and designing stage. This stage is important because it lays down the foundation for the project to be implemented. It involves an in – depth explanation of the project with timeliness and milestones established according to the projects scope and goals. It also involves estimating outlining and budget management.  

# Preconstruction.

                In this phase, it is a period in which the bidding in completed and subcontractors, contractors are selected. A team is chosen for the project to be executed and roles like project manager, field engineer, health and safety manager, contract administrator are assigned to work for the proper functioning of the project.

# Procurement

This is the most crucial phase and one of the most important phases of the project. During this stage, material purchased is done especially the kind of material that will be needed. At this stage, the project workforce is hired and its usually done by the project manager.  

# Construction

At this stage, all the material assembled is put in place for the implementation of the blueprint to reality. This phase is important because we are capable to know if a company is worth trusting or not. During this stage, subcontractor collaborates with the general contractor to ensure that everything according to the project is put in place according to plan.

# Closeout

During the close out phase, it is to ensure that the project is completed correctly and ready to be occupied. The building inspector examines the entire project to verify if it meets all the specifications and regulatory requirements.

# Post Construction

This phase involves builders providing new occupants a timeframe in which they will perform necessary maintenance, check if the building has a problem like electrical system plumbing or structural overall, a maintenance team will be sent in order to do all the necessary repairs and more.
